Grant applications for disabled and formerly convicted citizens have begun: Deadline is December 6

Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan stated in a post on his social media account that applications for grant support to be provided to disabled and formerly convicted citizens have begun today and will end on December 6.

Expressing that they have taken a new step to ensure that disabled citizens take a greater part in working life, Işıkhan noted that this year, they will prioritize projects that encourage the participation of citizens with autism in the labor market in applications for grant support.

Stating that disabled citizens can benefit from "grant support for starting their own business," "vocational training and rehabilitation courses," "support technologies, placement of disabled individuals in jobs and job adaptation," and "protected workplace" projects, Işıkhan reported that former convicts can benefit from "grant support for starting their own business" projects.

Işıkhan stated, "Since 2014, we have provided 109 million 968 thousand 815 liras in grant support to 2 thousand 746 of our formerly convicted citizens. We have provided 183 million 198 thousand 277 liras in grant support to 3 thousand 608 of our disabled citizens. We have provided a total of 385 million 897 thousand 77 liras in funding for 7 thousand 237 projects."
