WHAT IS THE INTEREST RATE EXPECTATION?
The expectation survey regarding the CBRT Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting to be held on Thursday, January 23, was completed with the participation of 17 economists. According to the survey conducted by AA Finance, economists anticipate that the CBRT will cut the policy rate by 250 basis points to 45 percent in January.
At the MPC meeting held last month, the policy rate was reduced from 50 percent to 47.50 percent with a 250 basis point cut.
