Holiday prices in Turkey hit a record high
According to Eurostat data, the price of holiday packages in Turkey increased by 17.6 percent year-on-year in August, showing an increase well above the European average.

The European Statistical Office (Eurostat) has announced the changes in holiday package prices within the European Union (EU). In August, holiday package prices across the EU recorded an increase of 2.5 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. While domestic holiday prices increased by 6.8 percent, international holiday prices rose by 1.6 percent.
Throughout 2024 and into early 2025, holiday package prices generally showed a moderate increase. However, in July 2024 and March 2025, the growth rates remained below 7 percent.
When examining price changes by country, Estonia had the highest increase rate at 39.5 percent. This was followed by Bulgaria with a 23 percent increase, while Turkey ranked third with a 17.6 percent increase.
On the other hand, among the countries where holiday package prices fell the most on an annual basis are Switzerland with 7.6 percent, Belgium with 7 percent, and Sweden with 5.6 percent.
