"Home Care Assistance" November payments have begun

Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş announced that they have begun depositing a total of 2.8 billion lira in Home Care Assistance into accounts this month.

Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, in a written statement, recalled that Home Care Assistance was launched in 2006 with the idea of primarily supporting disabled individuals within their families.

Stating that Home Care Assistance supports family members who take on the care of their fully dependent relatives in need of care, thereby protecting family integrity, Göktaş noted that a monthly payment of 5 thousand 97 lira is made per eligible beneficiary.

In her statement, Göktaş used the expression, "We have begun depositing a total of 2.8 billion lira in Home Care Assistance into accounts this month for fully dependent citizens in need of care and their families."

Reporting that 562 thousand citizens currently benefit from Home Care Assistance, Göktaş stated the following:

"Within the framework of our Century of Turkey Vision, as a Ministry, we attach great importance to ensuring that rights-based social assistance in the field of disability is sustainable with a transparent approach. In this context, we will continue to reach every individual in society with holistic and fair social service models that we have developed within the framework of our vision of a society that leaves no one behind. I wish for the payments to be beneficial to all our disabled citizens and their families."
