Housing prices increased by 1.9 percent in November last year

Housing prices increased by 1.9 percent in November compared to the previous month. The Residential Property Price Index (RPPI) rose by 82.8 percent on an annual basis.

The RPPI, calculated to track quality-adjusted price changes of houses across Turkey, increased by 1.9 percent in November 2023 compared to the previous month, reaching a level of 1150.4.

According to data from the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT), the RPPI recorded a nominal increase of 82.8 percent and a real increase of 12.4 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.

When examining developments in the housing price indices for Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir, increases of 0.8 percent, 1.8 percent, and 2.8 percent were observed in November, respectively, compared to the previous month.

Compared to the same period, index values in Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir experienced increases of 69.2 percent, 96.3 percent, and 76.9 percent, respectively.
