The BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul closed at 9,716.77 points, down by 5.32 points.

The BIST 100 index started the day at 9,753.97 points, up by 31.88 points and 0.33 percent.

The BIST 100 index, which saw a low of 9,664.45 and a high of 9,826.85 points during the day, finished the day at 9,716.77 points, a decrease of 0.05 percent compared to the previous close.

Compared to the previous close, the financial index lost 0.84 percent and the technology index lost 1.28 percent, while the industrial index gained 0.31 percent and the services index gained 1.02 percent.

The BIST 30 index closed at 10,481.20 points, down by 45.21 points and 0.43 percent compared to the previous close.

Of the shares included in the BIST 100 index, 54 gained value and 45 declined. Turkish Airlines, Akbank, Türkiye İş Bankası (C), Zorlu Enerji AŞ, and Tüpraş were the most actively traded stocks.

PRICE OF AN OUNCE OF GOLD

The price of an ounce of gold is trading at 2,330 dollars in international markets as of 18:20. In the Borsa Istanbul Gold Market, the price of a kilogram of standard gold rose by 2.4 percent to 2 million 508 thousand 500 liras.

The simple yield of the bond maturing on February 18, 2026, traded in the Borsa Istanbul Bond and Bill Market Outright Purchase and Sale Market, was 40.77 percent, and the compound yield was 44.92 percent for today's value-dated transactions.

The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (TCMB) announced today's effective exchange rate for the dollar as 32.4519 liras for buying and 32.5820 liras for selling. The TCMB had previously set the effective exchange rate at 32.4515 liras for buying and 32.5815 liras for selling.

In international markets, as of 18:20, the euro/dollar parity is at 1.0710, the sterling/dollar parity is at 1.2490, and the dollar/yen parity is at 155.50.

The price of a barrel of Brent crude oil in international markets is trading at 86.5 dollars, a decrease of 0.7 percent.
