The BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul closed at 9,129.02 points, up 183.23 points. The BIST 100 index started the day at 8,949.12 points with an increase of 3.32 points and 0.04 percent.

The BIST 100 index, which saw a low of 8,938.97 and a high of 9,168.73 points during the day, completed the day at 9,129.02 points with an increase of 2.05 percent compared to the previous close. Compared to the previous close, the financial index gained 3.53 percent, the industrial index 0.44 percent, the services index 0.62 percent, and the technology index 0.03 percent.

The BIST 30 index closed at 9,930.09 points with a gain of 232.03 points and 2.39 percent compared to the previous close. Of the stocks included in the BIST 100 index, 61 gained value and 39 declined. Turkish Airlines, Türkiye İş Bankası (C), Yapı ve Kredi Bankası, Akbank, and Tüpraş were the most actively traded stocks.

The ounce of gold is trading at 2,294 dollars as of 18:30 in international markets. In the Borsa Istanbul Gold Market, the price per kilogram of standard gold rose by 0.4 percent to 2 million 415 thousand liras.

In the Borsa Istanbul Bonds and Bills Market Outright Purchases and Sales Market, the simple yield of the bond maturing on February 18, 2026, with today's value date, was 39.87 percent, and the compound yield was 43.85 percent.

The Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (TCMB) announced today's effective exchange rate for the dollar as 31.8173 liras for buying and 31.9448 liras for selling. The TCMB had previously set the effective exchange rate at 31.9169 liras for buying and 32.0448 liras for selling.

In international markets, as of 18:30, the euro/dollar parity is at 1.0860, the sterling/dollar parity is at 1.2660, and the dollar/yen parity is at 151.70. The price of a barrel of Brent crude oil in London is trading at 88.9 dollars, a decrease of 0.4 percent.
