How did the stock market start the day?
The BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul started the day with a 0.40 percent increase at 7,905.35 points.

At the opening, the BIST 100 index gained 31.19 points and 0.40 percent compared to the previous close, rising to 7,905.35 points.
The banking index recorded an increase of 0.56 percent, and the holding index rose by 0.18 percent. Among sector indices, the top gainer was trade with 0.61 percent, while the forestry, paper, and printing sector saw the most decline at 0.19 percent.
Yesterday, the BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul followed a buying-weighted trend and completed the day with a 1.78 percent gain at 7,874.16 points.
Analysts stated that global equity markets are following a positive trend ahead of the inflation data to be announced in the US today, adding that the "Investor Days" meetings of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (TCMB), which will begin in New York, have also become a focus for domestic markets.
Noting that the Consumer Price Index (CPI) data to be announced in the US today could shape the Fed's future interest rate decisions, analysts reminded that annual inflation in the country is expected to be 3.2 percent.
Analysts stated that weekly money and bank statistics will be monitored domestically today, while inflation data and weekly jobless claims will be followed in the US, noting that technically, the 7,910 and 8,060 levels are resistance points for the BIST 100 index, while 7,820 and 7,750 points are in the support position.
