How did the stock market start the new week after the holiday break?

The BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul started the week with a 0.56 percent decline, at 9,759.28 points.

Following the 9-day holiday break, the BIST 100 index fell by 54.90 points, or 0.56 percent, compared to the previous close, dropping to 9,759.28 points in the new week.

The banking index recorded a decrease of 0.45 percent, and the holding index fell by 0.58 percent. Among sector indices, mining was the only gainer with 0.47 percent, while tourism was the biggest loser with 1.60 percent.

On Tuesday, the BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul followed a bullish trend, completing the day with a 0.59 percent gain at 9,814.19 points, marking its highest daily close of all time. The index also reached its highest level to date at 9,849.26 points.
