Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı shared a post on his social media account regarding rural development support.
Emphasizing that they made last year the "year of rural investments," Yumaklı stated, "Last year, we provided 4 billion 708 million liras in grant support to rural development projects. Thanks to the projects implemented with our support, 13,481 people were employed. We will continue to increase our grant support for rural investments."
Underlining that 3 billion liras in grants were provided to 3,375 projects under the IPARD Program, resulting in the employment of 7,200 people, Yumaklı said, "With the Rural Development Program Support Project, 648 million liras in grant support was provided to 495 projects, and 2,084 people were employed. Within the framework of supporting individual irrigation systems, 609 million liras in support was provided to 6,522 projects. The projects were implemented on 749 thousand decares."
Stating that 320 million liras in grants were given to 1,292 entrepreneurs through the Expert Hands Project, Yumaklı noted that 2,905 people were employed through foreign-funded rural development projects with 131 million liras in grant support.
