The Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (TCMB) has announced its money and banking statistics for the week of December 12. According to the data, the Central Bank's total reserves increased by 4.4 billion dollars compared to the previous week, rising to 190.8 billion dollars. Thus, the reserves are now only 7.6 billion dollars away from historical levels.
The TCMB's gross foreign exchange reserves also showed a significant increase in the week of December 12. Gross foreign exchange reserves reached 70.9 billion dollars, an increase of 2.7 percent. In the previous week, foreign exchange reserves were at the 69 billion dollar level.
INCREASE IN GOLD RESERVES CONTINUES
Gold reserves also continued to rise. The TCMB's gold reserves increased by 2.3 percent to 112.2 billion dollars. In the previous week, gold reserves were 109.7 billion dollars.
