Increase in Central Bank reserves

The Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (TCMB) has announced its weekly money and banking statistics.

Accordingly, as of May 17, the Central Bank's gross foreign exchange reserves rose by 4 billion 346 million dollars to 78 billion 549 million dollars. Gross foreign exchange reserves stood at 74 billion 203 million dollars on May 10.

During this period, gold reserves also increased by 377 million dollars, rising from 60 billion 199 million dollars to 60 billion 576 million dollars.

Thus, the Central Bank's total reserves increased by 4 billion 723 million dollars in the week of May 17 compared to the previous week, rising from 134 billion 402 million dollars to 139 billion 125 million dollars.
