The Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA) has released the weekly banking sector data.

The banking sector's credit volume increased by 103 billion 624 million liras last week, rising to 11 trillion 941 billion 109 million liras.

During the period in question, the total credit volume rose from 11 trillion 837 billion 485 million liras to 11 trillion 941 billion 109 million liras.

Total deposits in the banking sector, including interbank deposits, decreased by 230 billion 262 million liras last week. Total deposits reached 14 trillion 871 billion 55 million liras.

CONSUMER LOAN AMOUNT INCREASED

The amount of consumer loans increased by 6 billion 279 million liras as of February 2, reaching 1 trillion 533 billion 183 million liras. Of these loans, 436 billion 798 million liras consisted of housing loans, 94 billion 33 million liras of vehicle loans, and 1 trillion 2 billion 352 million liras of personal finance loans.

During this period, the amount of installment commercial loans increased by 9 billion 267 million liras to 1 trillion 447 billion 705 million liras.

Banks' individual credit card receivables also rose by 3.4 percent to 1 trillion 247 billion 389 million liras. Of the individual credit card receivables, 540 billion 534 million liras consisted of installment debts, and 706 billion 856 million liras consisted of non-installment debts.
