Increase in vehicles registered to traffic in January according to TUIK data

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) has published motor land vehicle statistics. According to the report, automobiles accounted for 53.1% of vehicles registered to traffic in January, followed by motorcycles at 28.2%, light trucks at 12.6%, trucks at 2.4%, tractors at 2.1%, minibuses at 1.0%, buses at 0.4%, and special-purpose vehicles at 0.2%.

DECREASE COMPARED TO THE PREVIOUS MONTH

In January, the number of vehicles registered to traffic increased compared to the previous month by 111.7% for trucks, 109.9% for minibuses, 70.8% for special-purpose vehicles, 47.2% for buses, 39.9% for light trucks, and 25.6% for automobiles, while it decreased by 50.5% for tractors and 21.1% for motorcycles.

GREY WAS THE PREFERRED COLOR

Of the 113 thousand 269 automobiles registered to traffic in January, 38.4% were grey, 26.1% were white, 12.4% were blue, 11.7% were black, 6.5% were red, 2.3% were green, 1.3% were orange, 0.5% were purple, and 0.4% were brown.
