Index contract on VIOP starts the week with gains (01.04.2024)

The April-dated index contract on the Borsa Istanbul Derivatives and Options Market (VIOP) traded at 10,149.00 in the opening session, 0.4 percent above the previous normal session close.

Following a volatile course on Friday, the index contract completed the normal session at 10,110.25 points, 0.1 percent above its previous close. The index contract stood at 10,115.00 points in the evening session.

While the holiday mood continues in global markets, eyes this week have turned to a busy data agenda, primarily the employment report to be released in the US.

Analysts stated that from a technical perspective, 10,200 and 10,300 points are in the position of resistance for the index contract, noting that 10,100 and 10,000 stand out as support levels.
