Index contract opens the day with gains in VIOP

The February-term index contract traded at 9,539.00, which is 0.2 percent above the previous normal session close, during the opening session.
Yesterday, the index contract followed a bullish trend, completing the normal session at 9,521.75 points, 0.9 percent above its previous close. The index contract continued its rise in the evening session, reaching 9,532.75 points.
Analysts stated that global equity markets are following a mixed trend due to the possibility that the US Federal Reserve (Fed) may begin interest rate cuts later than anticipated, adding that the non-farm payroll data to be released in the US today is expected to be influential on the direction of the markets.
