Index contract starts the day flat on VIOP
The December-dated contract based on the BIST 30 index on the Borsa Istanbul Derivatives Market (VIOP) started the day with a flat trend at 7,949.25 points.

The December-dated index contract traded at 7,949.25 in the opening session, just below the previous normal session close.
The index contract, which followed a volatile course yesterday, completed the normal session at 7,950.00 points, 0.7 percent below its previous close. The index contract remained flat during the evening session.
While expectations that the US Federal Reserve (Fed) could begin interest rate cuts in March of next year continue to influence asset prices in global markets, trading volumes remain at low levels following the Christmas holiday.
Analysts stated that the economic confidence index and weekly money and banking statistics will be monitored domestically today, while wholesale inventories and weekly jobless claims will be followed in the US, noting that from a technical perspective, 7,900 and 7,800 points are support levels, while 8,000 and 8,200 levels are resistance positions for the index contract.
