While global markets followed a positive trend as "soft landing" pricing for the US economy came to the fore, inflation data to be announced in the country today has become the focus of investors.
Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek, speaking at an event he attended as part of his Brussels contacts yesterday, stated that they are making maximum effort for fiscal adjustment, saying, "There is more to be done. Fiscal adjustment will help inflation fall."
On the other hand, Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (TCMB) Governor Fatih Karahan also stated in his speech at the Qatar Economic Forum held in Doha, the capital of Qatar, that conditions will be disinflationary in the second half of the year, using the expression, "We are on the verge of a significant decline in headline inflation."
Analysts noted that the budget balance will be monitored domestically today, while growth and industrial production in the Eurozone, and CPI and retail sales in the US will be followed abroad, adding that technically, 11,700 and 11,800 points are resistance levels for the index contract, while 11,600 and 11,500 levels are in the support position.
