Index contract starts the day with gains in VIOP (May 28, 2024)
The June-dated contract based on the BIST 30 index on the Borsa Istanbul Derivatives Market (VIOP) started the day with a 0.3 percent increase at 12,097.75 points.

The June-dated index contract on the Borsa Istanbul Derivatives Market (VIOP) traded at 12,097.75 in the opening session, 0.3 percent above the previous normal session close.
Yesterday, the index contract followed a buying-weighted trend and completed the normal session at 12,060.75 points, 0.2 percent above its previous close. The index contract continued its rise in the evening session, increasing by 0.1 percent to 12,073.50 points.
Analysts stated that global equity markets are following a positive trend as optimism remains that the US Federal Reserve (Fed) will begin interest rate cuts this year.
Noting that the domestic data agenda is quiet today, while data on the US housing price index, the New York Fed consumer confidence index, and the Dallas Fed manufacturing industry index will be monitored abroad, analysts recorded that technically, 12,150 and 12,300 points are resistance levels for the index contract, while 12,000 and 11,800 levels are support positions.
