Inflation expectations in the Eurozone have declined
The European Central Bank (ECB) has released the results of its Consumer Expectations Survey for November 2023. According to the survey results, the inflation expectations of consumers in the Eurozone for the next 12 months have fallen from 4 percent to 3.2 percent. This marks the lowest level since February 2022.

Inflation expectations among consumers in the Eurozone have declined according to the results of the European Central Bank's (ECB) Consumer Expectations Survey.
The inflation expectation for the next 12 months fell from 4 percent to 3.2 percent, reaching its lowest level since February 2022. Additionally, the inflation expectation for the next three years also decreased from 2.5 percent to 2.2 percent.
These results indicate that consumer concerns regarding inflation in the Eurozone are easing. The ECB has a medium-term inflation target of 2 percent. This survey is conducted with approximately 14 thousand people from Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, and Belgium, which represent a large portion of the Eurozone's GDP.
