Interest rate statement from Richmond Fed President

Richmond Fed President Thomas Barkin spoke at the Economic Club of Washington, D.C. event on Wednesday. In his speech, he said he "very much supports" the US central bank's patient stance on determining when to begin easing monetary policy.

Barkin stated, "To be honest, my guess is uncertain. That's why I think being patient is a reasonable idea."
