The rise in gold stood out in the performance of investment instruments this week.

Stocks traded on Borsa Istanbul lost an average of 4.15 percent on a weekly basis, while the dollar/TL gained 0.69 percent, the euro/TL gained 0.69 percent, and the gram selling price of gold gained 5.42 percent.
The BIST 100 index, after seeing a low of 8,054.64 and a high of 8,518.86 points, completed the week at 8,113.30 points, losing 4.15 percent compared to the previous week's close.
The gram selling price of 24-karat bullion gold traded in the Grand Bazaar rose by 5.42 percent this week to 1,713 liras, and the selling price of Republic gold rose by 6.75 percent to 11,508 liras.
The selling price of quarter gold, which was 2,670 liras last weekend, rose to 2,817 liras.
This week, the US dollar gained 0.69 percent to 27.8110 liras, while the euro gained 0.69 percent to 29.2300 liras.
Investment funds gained 0.04 percent this week, while individual pension funds lost 0.20 percent. When viewed by category, the highest-earning investment funds were "Precious Metals Funds" with 4.52 percent.
