As the crisis regarding investment funds in Turkey affects hundreds of thousands of investors, an investor named Kaan Akdoğan announced that he has been unable to access his 50 million liras in savings. Akdoğan stated that he turned to these funds to avoid risks in the stock market and to protect his family's savings.

Akdoğan noted that he had invested in the THF and DOH funds under TERA, stating that these funds were managed through shares of major companies in the BIST 30. However, he explained that with the suspension of transactions in the funds, they were unable to place sell orders and the system became locked.

Speaking to Show TV, Akdoğan said that the process he is going through has also affected his private life. Stating that he had planned to get married in a month, Akdoğan said, "I was going to get married in 1 month, so I had to postpone it. This process has worn everyone out. We just wanted to protect our money; the fate of our money is not clear in any way."

Stating that they are also being criticized for their investment decisions, Akdoğan said, "People are angry at us, asking why we invested there. This is not gambling, friends. This was an institution operating within a state-regulated body. It was an institution that had its own banks. We just wanted to protect our money," he said.

It was announced that 455 thousand 758 investors held shares in the 131 funds for which the Capital Markets Board (SPK) issued a liquidation decision.
