The Iran war and rising Brent crude oil prices are putting citizens in a difficult position with successive hikes in fuel prices. Despite the Eşel Mobil System, fuel price increases cannot be prevented. Millions of vehicle owners, the logistics sector, and farmers, in particular, are going through a difficult period due to rising fuel costs. Before the impact of the hike that came overnight could even be felt, news of another price increase has arrived.
AMOUNT AND DATE OF THE HIKE ANNOUNCED
Last night at midnight, there was a 55 kuruş hike for gasoline and a 1.14 TL hike for diesel. Now, it has been reported that a new hike will come on Tuesday (March 10, 2026). According to journalist Olcay Aydilek, major hikes will be applied to diesel and gasoline on Tuesday.
According to the information provided by Aydilek, there will be a 2.14 TL hike for diesel and a 1.54 TL hike for gasoline. In addition to this, in accordance with the Eşel Mobil System, an additional hike of 53 kuruş for diesel and 39 kuruş for gasoline will be applied.
HIKES CONTINUE DESPITE THE EŞEL MOBİL SYSTEM
The Ministry of Treasury and Finance had activated the Eşel Mobil System to limit the impact of major fuel price hikes on consumers. With the decision published in the Official Gazette, the system was reactivated, and the state waived tax revenue. However, despite this practice, the hikes could not be prevented.
HIKES COMING ONE AFTER ANOTHER
Following the activation of the Eşel Mobil System, a 3.11 TL hike for diesel and a 92 kuruş hike for gasoline had been implemented on Wednesday. Then, yesterday, another piece of news about a hike arrived, and fuel prices increased once again.
