According to sources speaking to Bloomberg, the Paris-based Financial Action Task Force (FATF) visited Turkey this month and observed that significant progress has been made in preventing illegal money flows. Although no final decision has been made yet, based on the findings of this visit, Turkey could be removed from the 'grey list' at the FATF meeting to be held in Singapore on June 28.
Sources stated that for the FATF to remove Turkey from the list, a qualified majority of members must support the decision, and even a few dissenting votes could prolong the process. Members include countries and organizations such as the European Commission.
