ISO 500 announced: TÜPRAŞ remains at the top with 698.8 billion liras
The top three remained unchanged in the Istanbul Chamber of Industry's 2025 survey; the entry of TUSAŞ and Aselsan into the top 10 highlights the rise of the defense industry.

The Istanbul Chamber of Industry (ISO) has released the 2025 results of its Turkey's Top 500 Industrial Enterprises survey. TÜPRAŞ once again took the top spot on the list based on production-based sales, as it has for many years. The company's production-based sales were announced at 698.8 billion liras.
TÜPRAŞ was followed by Ford Otomotiv with 538.3 billion liras and Star Rafineri with 327.9 billion liras. Thus, the top three of the ISO 500 remained unchanged from last year. Oyak-Renault ranked fourth with 235.5 billion liras, Toyota Otomotiv fifth with 206.3 billion liras, and Arçelik sixth with 165.7 billion liras.
DEFENSE INDUSTRY ENTERS THE TOP 10
One of the notable changes at the top of the list was the rise of defense industry companies. TUSAŞ, which was in 11th place last year, rose to 7th place with 140.9 billion liras in production-based sales. Aselsan also climbed from 17th to 9th place with 130.2 billion liras.
ISO President Erdal Bahçıvan stated that for the first time in the history of the ISO 500, two defense industry organizations have entered the top 10, noting that this picture is significant in terms of the sector's production capacity, technology development capability, export performance, and global competitiveness.
Other new names in the top 10 also drew attention. Türkiye Petrolleri Anonim Ortaklığı placed 8th with 138.8 billion liras in production-based sales, while Mercedes-Benz placed 10th with 127 billion liras.
Increases were also recorded in the general financial indicators of the ISO 500. According to the data shared by Bahçıvan, the operating profit of the organizations increased by 57.1 percent in 2025, rising from 641 billion liras to 1 trillion liras. Production-based sales reached 11.1 trillion liras from 8.7 trillion liras, a 28 percent increase.
According to the research, the exports of the companies within the scope of the ISO 500 also grew by 8.4 percent in 2025, rising to 104.7 billion dollars.
