Leader changes at Borsa Istanbul: Turkey’s most valuable companies re-ranked
The BIST 100 index, which completed the week at 10,971.52 points on Borsa Istanbul, closed with a 0.27 percent increase, while notable changes occurred in the market values of companies. The latest data released for the October 27-31 period revealed a new landscape in the ranking of Turkey’s largest companies.

Closing figures for the week at Borsa Istanbul showed significant fluctuations in the market values of companies. With a close of 10,971.52 points, the BIST 100 index ended the week up 0.27 percent, with significant changes in the rankings of large-scale companies drawing attention.
According to data released over the weekend, QNB Finansbank rose to the top of the list with a value of 1 trillion 691 billion 750 million TL, surpassing industry giants. Long-standing leaders in the race for the top spot, such as Koç Holding, Aselsan, and Garanti Bank, have consequently fallen in the rankings.
ASELSAN MAINTAINS SECOND PLACE
Aselsan, one of the most powerful players in the defense industry, took second place on the list with a market value of 928 billion 416 million TL. The ongoing upward trend in the company's shares once again demonstrated that investor interest in defense technologies remains strong.
BANKS AND INDUSTRIAL GIANTS DOMINATE THE LIST
Garanti Bank took third place with a market value of 565 billion 320 million TL, followed by Enka İnşaat with a value of 466 billion 200 million TL and Koç Holding with a market value of 435 billion 160 million TL.
Additionally, companies operating in critical sectors such as Turkish Airlines, Tüpraş, Ford Otosan, Bim, and İş Bank also secured spots in the top 10, acting as key drivers determining the general direction of the market.
