The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has added a new entry to its "Imitation or Adulterated Foods" list, which it updates regularly to inform the public.
A company included in the latest list announced on April 28, 2025, drew attention for its fraudulent practices involving powdered pistachios, which are frequently used in the dessert and bakery sectors.
As a result of the Ministry's laboratory analyses, it was revealed that food coloring was used in the powdered pistachios produced by the company in question.
It has been learned that legal action has been initiated against the company, which was found to have released the product onto the market using another substance dyed to look like real pistachios.
Experts emphasized that such fraud poses a serious threat to consumer health and warned consumers to prefer reliable and well-known brands.
