Luxury vehicle models are breaking sales records in Turkey

According to a report in Sözcü, which utilized data from the Automotive Distributors and Mobility Association (ODMD), total automobile sales increased by 74 percent year-on-year in October 2023 to reach 82,611 units, while super-luxury vehicle sales rose by 104 percent to 569 units in the same period. In the first 10 months of the year, compared to the same period of the previous year, luxury vehicle sales increased by 51 percent, while super-luxury vehicle sales rose by 108.4 percent to reach 4,536 units.

While the share of luxury automobiles in total sales fell from 4.2 percent to 2.5 percent, the share of super-luxury automobiles rose from 0.6 percent in October 2022 to 0.7 percent in October 2023. Thus, out of the total 749,501 automobiles sold in the first 10 months of the year, approximately 23 thousand consisted of luxury automobiles, while 4,536 units consisted of super-luxury automobiles.

According to the report, 1 Aston Martin, 1 Lamborghini, 4 Ferraris, 13 Jaguars, 43 Maseratis, 68 Porsches, 1,595 BMWs, and 3,067 Mercedes-Benz vehicles were sold in October. Compared to the same month last year, Maserati sales increased by 30.3 percent, Mercedes sales by 40 percent, Porsche sales by 58 percent, and Ferrari sales by 100 percent in October 2023. In the first 10 months of the year, 20 Aston Martins, 18,004 BMWs, 21 Ferraris, 13 Lamborghinis, 480 Maseratis, and 976 Porsches were sold.
