Mahfi Eğilmez explains how inflation will fall

Economist Mahfi Eğilmez outlined the ways to permanently bring inflation down to single digits and pointed out that this cannot be achieved through economic measures alone. 

In his statement, Eğilmez expressed that in order to solve Turkey's inflation problem, serious reforms must first be implemented in administrative and social areas.

Eğilmez stated, "If we cannot reduce lawlessness, meritless appointments, the lack of democracy, the murders of women and children, corruption, forest fires, environmental destruction, and the waste of public funds to single digits, we cannot reduce inflation to single digits either."

Emphasizing that it will be difficult to achieve economic stability if these problems are not resolved, Eğilmez noted that monetary policies alone will not be sufficient in the fight against inflation.
