Starbucks, a frequent destination for millions of coffee enthusiasts worldwide, has made a significant adjustment to its menu. Company management announced that 13 drinks have been permanently removed from the list with the goal of easing the workload of store teams and making operations more efficient.
This innovation stands out as one of the most prominent steps in the transformation strategy titled "Back to Starbucks," led by the company's CEO, Brian Niccol. While Starbucks is simplifying its espresso, tea, and hot beverage categories, the most significant changes occurred in the Frappuccino line.
The total number of standard Frappuccino varieties, which was 21, dropped to 12 following this change. Among the products removed from the menu are favorites of those who enjoy tea and cream-based drinks, as well as coffee lovers. The decision will be valid in all Starbucks branches.
The drinks removed from the list are as follows:
- Iced Matcha Lemonade
- Espresso Frappuccino
- Caffè Vanilla Frappuccino
- Java Chip Frappuccino
- White Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino
- Chai Crème Frappuccino
- Caramel Ribbon Crunch Crème Frappuccino
- Double Chocolaty Chip Crème Frappuccino
- Chocolate Cookie Crumble Crème Frappuccino
- White Chocolate Crème Frappuccino
- White Hot Chocolate
- Royal English Breakfast Latte
- Honey Almond Milk Flat White
Chain store representatives stated that this simplification step will provide speed and flexibility in order processes at branches and facilitate the daily operations of employees. Company officials expressed that they may re-evaluate the menu in the future by analyzing customer preferences.
Some customers have begun calling on social media for the return of the drinks removed from the menu. Whether Starbucks will continue these changes with other products or add new alternatives will become clear in the coming period.
