Massive hike coming for paid military service fee
The salary increase and inflation adjustment for civil servants at the beginning of 2026 will raise paid military service fees. Experts state that applications should be made early to avoid being affected by this increase.

With the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) announcing the December inflation data, the 6-month inflation adjustment and collective bargaining raise for civil servant salaries will become clear. These changes will also directly affect paid military service fees. As of January 1, 2026, paid military service fees will be recalculated following the raise to civil servant salaries.
EXACT FIGURES WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON JANUARY 3
The coefficient determined for the second half of 2025 was 1.4042, and the paid military service fee for this period was announced as 280,850 TL and 64 kuruş. An increase of approximately 20% is expected for civil servant salaries with the new year. In this case, the coefficient is projected to rise to 1.170211, and the paid military service fee is expected to reach approximately 337,000 TL. The exact figures will be announced on January 3, 2026.
An additional fee for paid military service is applied for periods of draft evasion, being hidden, or being a 'bakaya' (those who have not joined the military despite being called). This calculation is made by multiplying the current civil servant monthly coefficient on the day of payment by the duration. Periods between 1-30 days are considered as one month, while longer periods are calculated by adding them to the subsequent month.
Conscripts who wish to apply will be able to make their payments in advance at Vakıfbank, Ziraat Bankası, Halkbank, Vakıf Katılım Bankası, Ziraat Katılım Bankası, Emlak Katılım Bankası, Defterdarlıklar (Provincial Finance Directorates), or Malmüdürlükleri (District Finance Directorates) using their T.C. ID number.
