While the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey raised the policy rate to 40 percent, it announced that there will be no changes to maximum credit card interest rates in December.
In a separate statement from the CBRT, it was stated that the reference rate used in calculating the maximum interest rates to be applied to credit card transactions and the maximum commission rates to be applied to member merchants for December will be announced on November 24, 2023, which is the fifth business day before the end of the month.
