Mehmet Şimşek in Qatar in search of investment: Will meet with the financial world

Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek continues his contacts with international investors. Having previously met with investors in economic centers in the US, the UK, and Europe, Şimşek's latest stop is Qatar.

Şimşek traveled to Qatar to attend the Qatar Economic Forum, which will be held in the capital Doha between May 20-22. The event is among the important platforms where regional and global economic agendas are discussed.

Minister Şimşek will speak as a panelist at the high-level session titled "Global Growth and Geoeconomics" to be held on Tuesday, May 21, within the scope of the forum. In this session, Şimşek will be accompanied by Qatari Minister of Finance Ali Bin Ahmed Al-Kuwari and Saudi Arabian Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal Al-Ibrahim. The panel will address expectations regarding the global economic outlook, countries' growth strategies, and opportunities for regional economic cooperation.

WILL MEET WITH SECTOR REPRESENTATIVES  

His contacts in Doha will not be limited to the forum. Şimşek will also attend a real sector meeting to be hosted by the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Meeting with leading representatives of the Qatari business world at this meeting, the Minister will make assessments regarding mutual investment opportunities, the strengthening of trade relations, and recent developments in the Turkish economy.

Furthermore, Şimşek's program includes a roundtable meeting with the Qatari financial world. Meeting with the managers of leading banks and investment funds in Qatar, Minister Şimşek will explain Turkey's investment environment and evaluate financial cooperation opportunities.

Within the framework of Minister Şimşek's contacts in Doha, he is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts in the region. In these meetings, both bilateral economic relations and regional cooperation issues will be discussed.
