Midday in the markets

The index increased by 96.71 points compared to the previous close. The BIST 100 index, which closed at 8,843.01 points yesterday, started the day at 8,862.37 points with an increase of 19.36 points and 0.22 percent.

In the first half of the day, the index saw a low of 8,862.37 points and reached a record high of 8,953.08 points.

In the first half of the day, the financial index gained 0.72 percent, the services index 1.01 percent, the technology index 0.55 percent, and the industrial index 1.40 percent.

Compared to the previous close, 83 of the stocks included in the BIST 100 index rose in the first half of the day, while 14 lost value. The most actively traded stocks were Türk Hava Yolları, Ereğli Demir Çelik, Tüpraş, Şişe ve Cam Fabrikaları, and Sasa Polyester Sanayi.

As of 13:00, the simple yield of the benchmark bond maturing on October 1, 2025, traded in the Borsa Istanbul Bond and Bill Market Outright Purchase and Sale Market, was at 39.13 percent, and the compound yield was at 42.96 percent.

In international markets, as of 13:00, the euro/dollar parity was at 1.0780, the sterling/dollar parity at 1.2640, and the dollar/yen parity at 148.8.

In the Istanbul free market, the dollar is being sold at 30.6010 liras and the euro at 32.9970 liras.

The ounce of gold is trading at 2,035 dollars with a flat trend in international markets, while a barrel of London Brent crude oil is trading at 79.2 dollars, down 0.1 percent.
