Trade Minister Ömer Bolat stated in a post on his social media account that teams from the Habur Customs Enforcement, Smuggling and Intelligence Directorate conducted a search of a truck entering through the customs gate.
Minister Bolat shared the information that 202 kilograms of liquid methamphetamine were seized during the search and inspections.
Pointing out that the investigation into the incident is being carried out by the Silopi Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Bolat remarked, "I once again congratulate our customs enforcement teams, who do not allow any form of smuggling, especially drugs, at our borders."
Habur Gümrük Muhafaza Kaçakçılık ve İstihbarat Müdürlüğü ekiplerimizce, Habur Gümrük Kapısından giriş yapan bir tırda gerçekleştirilen arama ve kontrollerde, 202 kilogram ağırlığında sıvı metamfetamin maddesi ele geçirilmiştir.
