Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş announced that they have started depositing a total of 2.8 billion TL in Home Care Assistance into accounts this month to provide economic support to fully dependent citizens cared for at home and their families.
Minister Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş recalled that Home Care Assistance, one of the most important family-oriented care service models offered by the ministry, was launched in 2006 with the idea of primarily supporting disabled individuals within their families. Göktaş stated, "We prioritize the care of our disabled citizens at home in a way that preserves their family integrity. With Home Care Assistance, we support the protection and strengthening of family unity by allowing disabled individuals to live with their families and relatives without leaving their living environment."
Stating that citizens who take on the care of their fully dependent relatives in need of care are supported through Home Care Assistance, thereby protecting family integrity, Göktaş said, "As a ministry, we are developing policies with a rights-based perspective to ensure that disabled individuals have full access to their fundamental rights such as education, health, security, and employment. We are striving to reach every member of society with the holistic and fair social service models we have developed."
