Minister Işıkhan makes statement on 'remote work'

A notable statement has come from Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan regarding the 'remote work' method, which most companies have had the opportunity to test since the pandemic.

Işıkhan met with young people at an İŞKUR program. Minister Işıkhan gave important messages regarding remote work and flexible work. Işıkhan said, "If the nature of work and the way it is done is changing, we must also adapt to this change. Our General Directorate of Labor is carrying out legislative regulations on this matter."

'IT HAS BOTH PROS AND CONS'

Stating that the structure, form, and working models of jobs have begun to change, Minister Işıkhan said the following:

Models we call remote work and flexible work have started to come to the agenda. This has both pros and cons. Our General Directorate of Labor is carrying out legislative regulations on this matter.

I think that when you enter working life, your social skills need to be very good. Work continues after the COVID-19 pandemic. Remote work, flexible work, and secure flexible work models are still more important for us. If the nature of work and the way it is done is changing, we must also adapt to this change. In 10 years, we will be faced with different jobs and working models that you cannot even imagine today.
