Minister Şimşek announces 50 billion lira guarantee package for exporters

Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek announced that a new guarantee package, which will provide 50 billion lira in credit support to the real sector, will begin to be implemented within 15 days. Additionally, the mandatory foreign exchange sales ratio for exporters has been reduced from 30 percent to 25 percent. 

The Ministry will offer a new support package for exporters with a guarantee limit of 41 billion lira, and a credit volume of approximately 50 billion lira is targeted with this package.

According to information obtained by an AA correspondent from the Ministry, new support packages will be put into effect within the scope of the Treasury-backed guarantee system.

With this study, exporters and companies with foreign exchange sensitivity will be supported with a credit volume of approximately 50 billion lira to be created. The total guarantee limit of the package will reach 41 billion lira.

STATEMENT FROM MINISTER ŞİMŞEK

In his assessment of the subject, Minister Şimşek noted that they have been taking steps to support exports and exporters since the day he took office and that similar regulations will continue to be made.

Stating that they are effectively using the Treasury-backed guarantee system to increase the access of exporters to financing under favorable conditions, Şimşek said, "We are always by the side of our business world that produces, creates employment, and exports; we are putting our new guarantee package into effect within 15 days. In line with the demands from the sector, we will continue to support our business world and facilitate their operations."
