Minister Şimşek's statement on inflation: 'Without price stability...'

In his post, Minister Şimşek stated, "We have set reducing inflation to single digits as the primary goal of our program. Because without price stability, justice in income distribution and permanent prosperity growth are not possible."

Şimşek continued his words as follows:

"In addition to this, we have made important regulations to strengthen justice in taxation; for example,

We exempted the minimum wage from tax,

We lowered the tax rate in the lowest bracket of the income tax tariff and raised the tax rate in the highest bracket,

We increased the corporate tax rate and set a higher rate for banks and financial institutions.

We continue our work in every field without interruption to increase the purchasing power of our citizens.

Our program is based on transparent, predictable, and rule-based policies; it is our country's own program and is being implemented successfully."
