Ministry announces: Budget deficit reached 973.6 billion TL in 8 months

The Ministry of Treasury and Finance announced the budget implementation results for August.
Accordingly, in August, budget revenues increased by 12.5 percent compared to the same month last year, reaching 690 billion 720 million liras, while budget expenditures reached 820 billion 314 million liras, an increase of 45.8 percent.
973 BILLION 554 MILLION LIRA DEFICIT IN THE JANUARY-AUGUST PERIOD
In the January-August period, budget revenues rose by 75.2 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching 5 trillion 253 billion 15 million liras. Budget expenditures also increased by 84.1 percent in the same period, reaching 6 trillion 226 billion 569 million liras.
The central government budget recorded a deficit of 129 billion 594 million liras in August, and 973 billion 554 million liras in the January-August period.
