Mint's decision on coins
After a long hiatus, the Mint resumed production of 1, 5, and 10 kuruş coins in September.

The General Directorate of the Mint and Stamp Printing House, affiliated with the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, has resumed minting coins that it had stopped producing during the first eight months of the year. In September, 240,000 units of 1 kuruş, 180,000 units of 5 kuruş, and 360,000 units of 10 kuruş were produced. Additionally, 990,000 units of the 50 kuruş coin, which had been rumored to be discontinued due to production costs, were also minted.
An examination of the coins put into circulation since 2009 shows that the number of coins carried by citizens in their pockets has reached 13 billion 588 million 944 thousand 976. The most common coin during this period was the 1 lira coin, with 4 billion 687 million 387 thousand 610 units in circulation.
On the other hand, the 5 lira coins, which were released by the Mint as commemorative coins and remain in circulation, continue to maintain their presence in the market with 312 million 562 thousand 807 units.
