New 50 TL and 5 TL banknotes in circulation
The CBRT has announced that 50 TL and 5 TL banknotes with updated signatures have been put into circulation as of today.

The Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (CBRT) has announced that new series of 50 TL and 5 TL banknotes have been put into circulation as of today.
The banknotes, issued under the authority granted by Law No. 1211, consist of the 9th series 50 TL and 8th series 5 TL denominations of the E9 Emission Group.
The new series 50 TL banknotes will feature the signatures of CBRT Governor Dr. Fatih Karahan and Deputy Governor Dr. Gazi İshak Kara. On the 5 TL banknotes, Karahan's signature will be accompanied by the signature of CBRT Deputy Governor Prof. Dr. Fatma Özkul.
According to the CBRT statement, no changes were made to the banknotes other than the signatures. The dimensions, front and back compositions, general characteristics, and appearances will remain the same as previous series.
The new 50 TL and 5 TL banknotes will continue to circulate alongside the existing series of banknotes.
