New allegations from Büşra Bozkurt: Hafize Gaye Erkan's father slapped an employee, there is footage

Büşra Bozkurt, who stated that she worked as a protocol officer on the executive floor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (TCMB) for 4 years, alleged in her complaint to CİMER that she was fired by Erol Erkan, the father of Central Bank Governor Hafize Gaye Erkan.

"NONE OF IT IS A LIE, IT IS EVEN INCOMPLETE"

Claiming that a private room and an official car were allocated to Erol Erkan at the bank, Bozkurt stated that dozens of Central Bank employees like herself were victimized by Erol Erkan, adding, "None of the complaints I submitted to CİMER are lies; they are even incomplete."

According to the report by Erdoğan Süzer from Sözcü; Bozkurt alleged that Erkan slapped a staff member in the elevator and fired them, and said that there are security camera recordings of the incident.

Bozkurt added that she did not see any behavior from Gaye Erkan that disturbed her, and made the following statements:

"THERE IS CAMERA FOOTAGE OF EROL ERKAN ISSUING UNAUTHORIZED ORDERS ON THE 9TH FLOOR"

"If a lawsuit is filed against me, I will request the bank's camera recordings in court. All the footage of Erol Erkan, who comes to the bank every day with an official car and issues unauthorized orders on the 9th floor where the governor's office is located, is available in the camera recordings.

I don't think they can be deleted. There are many victims, including the security chief he fired upon the complaint of his private bodyguard. When my CİMER complaint became news, many employees called and congratulated me, saying, 'You did what we couldn't do.' There is enough evidence and witnesses. It hurt me deeply to be accused of lying on top of being victimized."

"THERE IS NOT A SINGLE PERSON IN THE BANK WHO CAN OPPOSE EROL BEY'S ORDERS"

Büşra Bozkurt said that her father, Erol Erkan, possessed significant power at the Central Bank without having any official authority. After mentioning that the elder Erkan was an "unauthorized person" who settled into the deputy governor's office and was allocated an official car and private security, Bozkurt said, "There is not a single person in the bank who can oppose Erol Bey's orders."

HE SLAPPED A STAFF MEMBER

Bozkurt stated that Erol Erkan was someone who issued orders, scolded, and even slapped anyone he encountered. 

Bozkurt continued her words as follows;

"The Governor went to the USA on December 23, 2023. I was fired on December 28 upon her father's order. The Governor did not return from the USA. I could not speak to her and convey my grievance. There is not a single person in the bank who can oppose Erol Bey's orders. It is being talked about all over the bank that he slapped a staff member in the elevator. He fired this staff member, and when he heard that they would file a complaint, he rehired them. Is the Governor aware of these?"

"I WAS SCOLDED, HUMILIATED, AND THREATENED"

"I am an employee trying to earn a living, and my livelihood was taken from me by the order of an unauthorized person. The sustenance of my small child was stolen. The Governor's child is precious, of course, but does my child have no importance at all? When I said that I had to pick up my child from school in the evening and therefore could not work until late at night, I expected understanding from a grandfather who is fond of his grandchild, but I was scolded, humiliated, threatened, and fired."

EROL ERKAN HAD A PRIVATE KITCHEN BUILT ON THE EXECUTIVE FLOOR THAT THE FAMILY COULD USE!

"There is a kitchen in the bank used by the governor and senior management. However, Erol Bey had a private kitchen built on the executive floor for the family's use only. It was said that the kitchen was built for the Governor's child. The fact that all the materials were chosen to be extremely luxurious caused discomfort.

It is said that a tea glass was bought for 4 thousand liras. Luxury plates, spoons... If the Court of Accounts conducts an audit, the invoices for all of them will emerge. If the family is at the bank, they eat the food cooked in the private kitchen; if they are at home, it is taken home by car. Sometimes breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served. All of them are in the camera recordings."
