The Ministry of Trade has introduced new rules for real estate and vehicle advertisements with a new regulation.

Under the new regulation, websites will not publish advertisements unless there is a document verifying the listing via e-Devlet or the web land registry system. The same rule will be applied to vehicle sales by verifying the vehicle registration or the second-hand sales authorization certificate.

100 THOUSAND LIRA PENALTY

According to NTV's report, a fine between 10 thousand and 100 thousand liras will be imposed for each advertisement that lacks an authorization or verification document.

However, experts still warn that one should remain cautious regarding online advertisements.

Automotive Data General Manager Hüsamettin Yalçın stated that this practice will reduce the risk of fraud and increase consumer confidence.

Emphasizing that fake accounts and fraudulent activities will be minimized, Yalçın said, "In this way, reliable sales transactions and transparent market conditions will help prices better reflect market realities."

Experts point out that attention should also be paid to advertisements posted before November 1, the date of the regulation change.
