Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek made important assessments regarding the TCMB's expectations survey on his X (Twitter) social media account.
In his post, stating that inflation expectations for 12 and 24 months ahead have been improving for ten months, Şimşek said, "Although monthly inflation, which was high in July due to temporary effects, led to a limited increase in year-end expectations, the 12-month-ahead inflation expectation fell to 28.7 percent, while the 24-month-ahead expectation became 19.3 percent."
Şimşek also stated that they foresee annual inflation falling significantly in August and that they expect the decline to continue for the remainder of the year.
