The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) has re-evaluated its liquidity facilities following developments in financial markets. The bank announced that the amount of funding to be provided through weekly repo auctions will be increased, taking liquidity conditions into account.

According to the statement, the borrowing limits for banks in the Interbank Money Market operating under the CBRT will also be updated. This update will be based on the current balance sheet sizes of the banking system.

The Central Bank also announced that the collateral discount rates applicable in its own markets will be reviewed and reduced. It was stated that these steps would be implemented as part of supportive regulations aimed at liquidity conditions in the markets.

The CBRT also emphasized that liquidity conditions will continue to be closely monitored and that additional measures may be taken if necessary.
