New record in Central Bank reserves: All-time high

The Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (TCMB) has announced its weekly money and banking statistics.

Accordingly, as of July 12, the Central Bank's gross foreign exchange reserves increased by 4 billion 614 million dollars to 94 billion 345 million dollars. Gross foreign exchange reserves stood at 89 billion 731 million dollars on July 5.

During this period, gold reserves also rose by 734 million dollars, from 58 billion 717 million dollars to 59 billion 451 million dollars.

Thus, the Central Bank's total reserves increased by 5 billion 348 million dollars in the week of July 12 compared to the previous week, rising from 148 billion 448 million dollars to 153 billion 796 million dollars.

ŞİMŞEK: AT A 4.5-YEAR HIGH

On the other hand, Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek stated yesterday that net reserves excluding swaps are at a 4.5-year high.

In a post on his social media account X regarding the Central Bank reserves, Şimşek stated, "Net reserves excluding swaps are at a 4.5-year high."
