A new practice affecting millions of vehicle owners in traffic began today. Within the scope of the work carried out by the Insurance and Private Pension Regulation and Supervision Agency (SEDDK), the Alo 193 Joint Damage Notification Center (OHİM) has become operational to receive post-accident damage reports from a single center.

With the new system, it is aimed that citizens will be able to submit their damage reports more easily and quickly following traffic accidents. The application was launched as part of an action plan aimed at reducing fragmented operations in insurance processes and ensuring that damage compensation processes are concluded more quickly, fairly, and systematically.

One of the important goals of the regulation is to prevent organized structures that illegally obtain the information of people involved in accidents, call them through call centers, and pressure them to grant "damage tracking power of attorney." With the notification process to be conducted through a single number, it is expected that citizens will become more protected against such guidance and pressure.

The work carried out within the scope of the SEDDK's action plan, which consists of audit, regulation, implementation, and technology solutions, is expected to establish a new standard in the insurance sector regarding the tracking and conclusion of damage processes.

Before the launch of the Alo 193 application, the SEDDK and insurance companies that issue traffic insurance policies came together in an evaluation meeting. At the meeting, the results of the action plan to date and the measures to be taken henceforth were discussed.
