The Ministry of Trade has implemented a new customs duty regulation for corn imports, where domestic production is insufficient to meet consumption. Accordingly, a 5 percent customs duty will be applied to imports of up to 1 million tons until December 31, 2024. However, a 130 percent customs duty will continue to be applied to imports exceeding this amount.
